At Music of Life, we believe every child deserves the joy and confidence that music brings – no matter their disability or background. Music is more than learning an instrument; it’s a way to express yourself, connect with others and feel a true sense of belonging.
What we do
Each year we reach over 1,400 children across London, the Midlands and the North of England through school choirs, one-to-one lessons and pioneering Deaf music education.
Since 2003, we’ve supported thousands of young people with disabilities to discover their potential through music – building skills, friendships and brighter futures.
Our tailored programmes include
One-to-one music lessons
School-based choirs and ensemble work
Music for Deaf children
Performance opportunities and workshops
Led by professional musicians — many with lived experience of disability — our approach is inclusive, empathetic, and child-centred. We adapt our teaching to meet each student’s needs, supporting emotional growth and skill development through music.
“Our students have been performing confidently in assembly, proud of their own achievements, supportive of one another. They demonstrated improved attention and ability to follow instructions. Music of Life has enabled the children to focus on a music activity and develop confidence in communication.”
